No, not a terminally late April Fool headline but news of the discovery of Greg Lake singing Cadence And Cascade. The unearthing of this pre-Haskell session comes via Robert’s updated diary.
Back in 2000 when I was interviewing all of the participants in Poseidon recording sessions, the consensus of opinion was that Greg had finally departed Wessex studios, leaving Cadence unfinished and thus leading to the recruitment of Gordon Haskell. And now a rummage in a box last week has proven everyone�s memories of the sessions to be wrong.
This is an important find as it represents the only other recording (as far as we currently know!) by the line-up that recorded Cat Food and who appeared on the Top of the Pops tv programme.
