The album’s pretty adult… It’s not super proggy. Melody-wise it’s unbelievably strong. I would like it to be a little more aggressive, but Asia isn’t an aggressive band except for that first album (1982’s ‘Asia’), which had stuff like ‘Time Again’ and ‘Wildest Dreams.’ There’s nothing quite like that here, but it’s got many other facets to it.

This is the hardest decision we have ever had to make, but it is with great regret that we have had to cancel ProgPower UK III. We have made no secret of the financial difficulties that have dogged our first two years, which is why we made a significant number of changes for year three. However, ticket sales have been extremely poor and, as a result, there is no way we can stage the festival without losing a substantial amount of money – again.

When I was asked to play a prominent role in the movie, my initial reaction was a quick no. Aside from the fact that I have no previous acting experience, I was very busy. But I read the script, then read it again, and finally decided it was worth the adventure.

Nil Recurring follows the release of Porcupine Tree’s grammy-nominated ‘Fear Of A Blank Planet’ album. The mini-album (29 minutes of music) was written during the ‘Fear Of A Blank Planet’ sessions, completed over the summer of 2007, and is now presented as a cohesive, self-contained Porcupine Tree work in its own right.

The title track features Robert Fripp on lead guitar, and the album moves through the full Porcupine Tree spectrum of atmospheric ambience, melodic hooks, and crushing riffs.

This edition is packaged in a deluxe super jewel case in textured slipcase.

Porcupine Tree are regarded as one of the most impressive experimental/ progressive/ psychedelic rock bands to emerge from the UK since their inception in 1991, having enjoyed a successful recording career spanning over 15 years.

Frontman Steven Wilson is also known for his recent work with Aviv Geffen as Blackfield and for his production and musical contributions on the Opeth albums ‘Blackwater Park’, ‘Deliverance’ and ‘Damnation’.

It’s an energetic and magnificent band somewhat reminiscent of IQ/Marillion but with more edge. Their music is based on melodic hooks, loud sound and great voice.
