The album will be an open-ended slipcase with the Star logo, the CD in a jewel case, Dark Angel on the front cover with 20 page booklet with 3 page pullout for the naked man/boat artwork. There will not be a “making of…” DVD with the retail release. Arc of the Curve will be released as a single at around the same time with formats still to be announced. Live tracks will be part of the download package. Downloads should be available in the next week.

We are almost ready to start selling tickets for the Xmas Tour 2007. You will see that we are only playing in the UK, Holland, Germany and France… If we’re not coming to your continent/country/town/city it’s because we’ve had to reluctantly make some tough decisions about where, and where not, to play because we are short on time. We fear that if we book a long tour at the end of 2007 we’ll not be ready, so the Christmas tour has to be restricted to a 2 week period.

On October 6, Steve Hogarth (Marillion’s singer) did a solo performance in Cervia, Italy in his “H Natural – solo voice and piano” series. This event was extra special because it was simultaneously broadcast in Second Life, allowing his fans from all over the world to virtually attend the gig.

Just as in real life, Steve’s virtual counterpart stepped onto the stage and sat at the grand piano, which was lit by candlelight. The virtual fans were able to hear Hogarth’s entire performance live, as it was broadcast into Second Life using an audio stream.

The event was a great succes. The fans in Second Life almost beat the real life fans in cheering, clapping, and shouting for songs. Many people said the concert in Second Life was “bizarre but brilliant”. Steve Hogarth on the virtual stage

The virtual concert goers had the opportunity to have their picture taken with Steve’s avatar right after the concert. “It was just a big party, I made a lot of new Marillion friends here”, one of the fans said.

A brand new online Marillion fanclub entitled “Second Web” was also formed in Second Life. Membership of the fan club is free, and comes with a complimentary “H Natural” t-shirt.

Marillion will play live in December, as they embark on their short “Snow-Where Else Tour” throughout the UK, Holland, France and Germany.

Fish isn’t the world’s best singer by any means. And nowadays he lacks the range he had in his younger years. He makes up for this with his impassioned and emotional delivery; frustration, anger, sadness and ultimately hope.
