ClassicRockRevisited.com has posted their interview with Dave Kilminster:
To be honest I think of myself more as a musician than I do a guitarist. I’ve always been into music, melodies, songs, lyrics, and the whole thing. I never set out to – I can’t think of anything more boring for me to do than to record a rock instrumental album. It’s not stuff I would listen to so I wouldn’t dream of doing something like that. When I was listening to the radio growing up, it was all bands like 10cc, Queen and The Sweet, just loads of really cool tunes.

Dave Kilminster will join acoustic guitarist Murray Hockridge for a duo performance tomorrow, Friday December 7th. The venue is the Woden Halle in Freiburg, Germany. Showtime is 8:30pm. From Dave’s website:
There should be two one hour sets — so if you really love the first set, you can hang around and see the second! Dave is looking forward to this and we hope you are too! This marks the first public performance of two of England’s finest guitarists.

Dave Kilminster has announced the re-issue of “Live In The Hood”, the only release from Qango, a project that featured himself, as well as John Wetton, Carl Palmer and John Young on keyboards. The band was formed in 1999 after an Asia reunion fell apart, with the intention of performing Asia classics along with ELP and Wetton solo material as well as new songs. The band was well-received, but only had the opportunity to release this one album, which was in very limited edition. The album is available in re-release from the Store for Music, and is offered as a CD or a purchased download. The album is available beginning 26th November.

To Pink Floyd fans, Dave Kilminster is the luckiest guitarist alive. During the last two years, he has toured with Roger Waters, performing the majority of David Gilmour’s guitar and vocal parts throughout presentations of The Dark Side of the Moon and other Pink Floyd classics. The tour saw Kilminster playing to sold-out arenas and stadiums worldwide, as well as Live Earth, which was broadcast to more than two billion people this past July.
Anil Prasad has interviewed Dave for Guitar Player Magazine during the California leg of the Roger Waters Tour. You can check out the article on the Guitar Player website, but to see the photos visit Dave’s official website. They generously scanned and posted the full article and graphics.
