Can you believe this?! Rick has just announced that he’ll be joining Keith Emerson, Chris Squire and Simon Kirke to warm up the crowd for Led Zeppelin’s reunion gig at the new O2 venue in London on 26th November. No specific details have been released yet, but check the RWCC site for updates.

Yes, you heard right. Chris says he’s “currently working on an album of traditional Christmas carols arranged for drums, bass, guitar, keyboards and choir.” He hopes to have the album finished in early October. Also, work continues on his solo album “hopefully to be finished early in the new year”.

Yes – Live at Montreux 2003, a double-CD set, will arrive in stores today, September 4th. The 18 song set features the band’s most popular line-up of singer Jon Anderson, guitarist Steve Howe, bassist Chris Squire, keyboardist Rick Wakeman, and drummer Alan White, performing at the annual Swiss music fest.
A DVD of the concert was released in late 2006.
