Steven Wilson Launches “Grace for Drowning” Website

Blackfield’s Steven Wilson has setup a website for his upcoming release Grace for Drowning. Scheduled for an Autumn 2011 release, Grace For Drowning will be Wilson’s second album released under his name. Visit the official website for audio samples and additional information.

Aviv Geffen Xmas Songs

Head over to NotAnotherCrapXmas.com to download two new Aviv Geffen songs, “It’s Alright” and “Berlin”. The website is sponsored by CALM – the campaign against living miserably. You will find Aviv’s songs on the December 19th entry.

Aviv Geffen Solo Show

Aviv Geffen will perform a solo show on January 31, 2008 at the Bush Hall in London. This will be his first show performing his English language songs, and he’ll be joined by Mike Garson (from David Bowie’s band) and Steven Wilson. Tickets will soon be available from the Mean Fiddler website.

BLACKFIELD NYC captures the band live at the Bowery Ballroom NY on March 16th 2007. A captivating live experience (‘Blackfield deal in shimmering soundscapes and towering choruses, their pop sensibility underpinned by dramatic edginess’, Classic Rock) the concert features tracks from both albums along with an inspired re-working of Alanis Morrisette’s Thank You.

In addition to the concert, the DVD also features the promo videos for the singles Pain, Hello and Blackfield.

Blackfield DVD Now Pre-Ordering

Pre-orders are now being accepted for the new Blackfield DVD, NYC – Live in New York, from the Burning Shed online shop. From Blackfield.org:

Filmed at the Bowery Ballroom in a snowbound New York earlier this year, this is Blackfield’s first DVD and includes the full performance of 18 songs. The audio was recorded and mixed by SW into stereo and 5.1 surround sound, and the film was edited by Lasse Hoile. Also includes the promo videos for the three singles from the debut album.

The release date is set for October 15th.
