Still more health problems and cancellations abound in Progdom. This just posted from After Forever’s website:

Last Friday, on my way to a gig in the Czech Republic, I had a seizure attack in the airplane. No one knows exactly what it was at this point, but it was similar to an epileptic attack and was very scary. After that, I was taken to an Austrian hospital where I stayed for one day. They did some research and told me to go to the hospital in Holland for more tests to find out exactly what the cause of the episode was. I’m back in Holland now, and I’ll keep you updated about my condition as soon as I know more. Since I’m aware of the fact it could be related to my recent burn out, and the doctors confirmed this, I have to take absolute rest the upcoming week. That means I will not be able to do the gig scheduled for this coming Friday in Hengelo.

After Forever have posted their “first American tour report” in the Downloads section of their website.

After Forever have just confirmed a headlining gig at the Goothstock Festival on Saturday, October 27th. Goothstock takes place in Ridderkerk, The Netherlands. For more information about the festival go to www.goothstock.nl

After Forever launched their first-ever tour of North America as headliner at this year’s ProgPower VIII festival in Atlanta, Georgia and will continue through October 21st, with shows throughout the East Coast, the southwestern U.S., and Canada. Sander Gommans, lead guitarist, had this to say about the upcoming tour:

“Now it’s time to say goodbye to all of my He-Man figures and hit the road. It will be an emotional goodbye [laughter]. This tour means a very heavy schedule for us… a lot of computer game contests on the bus! Since AFTER FOREVER is only doing a limited number of shows, I know not all of our fans will be able to come out and see us, so I’ll take my camera and laptop with me and try to stay in touch with everyone through our My Space site. To those fans who can make it out, see you on tour!”

After Forever have added more videos to their website’s “videosection”. Included are clips from Rock in Rades Tunesia, Masters of Rock Czech Republic and the Earthshaker Festival Germany.

Luke says: A couple of months ago I was invited to the Warwick office in the German village ‘Markneukirchen’, close to the Czech Republic. After a warm welcome I got a guided tour through the factory. It was very interesting to see how a piece of wood was turned into a sophisticated bass guitar. Afterwards I could try all kinds of different Warwick basses, it was like Kindergarten.

After Forever wish to disavow any rumors suggesting a Latin American tour this year. From their official website:

For the record and to be clear about this, we never confirmed (either verbally or in writing) any shows in 2007 in Latin America. Therefore no shows should have been put on sale. If any were, then this is wholly down to the promoter’s actions. We are as annoyed as everyone else by that, this should not have happened. We are looking in to this situation, and we will not be working with the promoter again.
