At the time of this post (Sunday noon), Geoff’s website has apparently been hijacked. His homepage reads “Your system owned by Scream”, and then something about Turkish hackers. Apparently Geoff’s not alone. If you google “hacked by scream”, you’ll learn this is a pretty common hacker exploit targeting the Joomla CMS.

Yes, you read right, Ambrosia will headline the Rights of Spring Festival Friday, May 2nd. How cool is that? Also scheduled to appear are Blind Ego, Ritual, Circa, Credo and Black Bonzo. More bands will be announced soon.
But let’s get back to Ambrosia… If your only impression of them is the 80′s soft-rock version (“How Much I Feel”) then do yourself a big favor and buy their 1975 debut, Ambrosia. Without a doubt one of the best (and best recorded) prog-pop efforts from the 70s. I know, I know… if it’s so great why haven’t you heard of it before… Trust me.

It’s been out for just a few days and he’s surely sold through those first 1000 autographed copies. Autographed or not, the CD will surely be Chapman Stick heaven. Get yours here.
This CD, quite unlike others of Tony’s, features the Chapman Stick in both instrumental and vocal pieces. King Crimson drummer Pat Mastelotto has a big presence on the album, and early listeners are saying it has a very Crimson-like feel. There is an abundance of music here – 17 tracks.

From the Topix.net Prog-Rock forum comes a request from a member of Diagonal:
Forgive the shameless ‘self-promotion’, but I’d like to get people’s opinions if they feel like it on this band. I am in said band, we’re big prog fans & it’d be cool if other “Proggers” :) would like to take a listen. We’re hopefully doing an album on Rise Above in the winter. Anyhow, if you do, tis here on myspace:

Cheers
Here at ProgFetish we’re always happy to assist shameless self-promotion. Rock on!

There’s new merchandise from Peter Gabriel’s “Warm Up” tour at the Womad online shop.
Also, Peter has just posted an “update” video for September, view it here. And, what the hell, here’s a little video goodness from 1977…
