Asia Announce 2008 UK Dates

Asia have announced their new 2008 UK tour dates. All of the venues will honor previously purchased tickets for the March shows, but ticket holders are asked to contact the appropriate venues if you have any other questions.

Clutch Joins Coheed and Cambria Tour

Clutch and Coheed And Cambria will co-headline a tour of North America which begins Ocktober 29th in Toronto. The Fall Of Troy will be the support act.

Asia Donates Song For Charity

Asia has announced their participation in a charity CD for Serenity House, a cancer hospice based in the Philadelphia area. Asia contributed an unreleased unplugged version of Don’t Cry from the Sirius Satellite radio performance in August of 2006. This is a limited release and all proceeds will be donated to Serenity House.

Sigur Rós Confirm DVD/CD Release

From AntiMusic.com: Sigur Rós have confirmed the upcoming release of both a DVD titled Heima, and a double CD set called, Hvarf/Heim. Both will have a November 6th US release date, via the XL label.

With Heima translating into “At Home”, the DVD will feature exclusive footage from a series of free concerts in their native Iceland during the summer of 2006.

Hvarf/Heim will be comprised of two EPs. The Hvarf CD will feature a bunch of lost songs from Sigur Ros’ history, while Heim will include six live, acoustic tracks from all four Sigur Ros studio albums.

Adrian Belew Power Trio to Perform at Soberstock

The Adrian Belew Power Trio will be the featured performers at the NW Soberstock music festival on Saturday, September 15th at King County’s Marymoor Park in Seattle. Also on the roster is “TU” (aka Trey Gunn and Pat Mastelotto). Tickets are available here.
